Frank Sinatra School of The Arts / School of Applied Communication / School of Business

Oversight of construction for The NYC Board of Education and The NYC School Construction Authority for various educational facilities located at Queens Atrium in Long Island City (Queens), NY. Construction for The Frank Sinatra H.S. of the Arts which occupies 120,000 SF was completed within an aggressive 20-week project schedule and included the construction of classrooms, laboratories, and a commercial kitchen facility.

The complete build-out of class-rooms totaling 30,000 SF on the 4th and 5th floors, and the construction of a full proscenium auditorium with supporting spaces totaling 33,000 SF were completed within a 10-month timeline.

CUNY LAGUARDIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Interior fit-out for CUNY/LaGuardia Community College (tenant) of approximately 100,000 SF of classrooms, labs, conference rooms and general office. The work also included the installation of two hydraulic elevators servicing the atrium to the third floor. In addition, the entire front lobby was reconstructed with ramps, stairs and level modifications to facilitate handicap access to the new elevators. The two elevator towers required the construction of pedestrian bridges extending from the existing corridors to the new elevators.
